Marshal collects the information needed to answer business inquiries, deliver requested resources, and run this site. This page explains what that means in plain language.

What Marshal collects

If you fill out a form, Marshal may collect your name, work email, company, website, and the answers you choose to submit. If you email Marshal or book a call, Marshal receives the information you provide in that message or booking.

The site also collects basic usage data such as pages viewed, links clicked, device and browser information, approximate location, referring page, and campaign tags.

How the information is used

Marshal uses this information to respond to you, prepare a Scan or other requested resource, manage a business relationship, improve the site, understand which marketing works, and protect the site from abuse.

Service providers

Marshal uses service providers to operate the site and follow up on inquiries. These currently include Vercel for hosting and site analytics, PostHog for product analytics, Warmly and RB2B for business visitor identification when configured, Beehiiv for email subscriptions, Attio for contact management, Slack for internal inquiry notifications, and Calendly for call booking. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms.

Marshal does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help run the site, when required by law, or when needed to protect Marshal, its clients, or other people.

Cookies and browser storage

Analytics and business visitor tools may use cookies or similar browser storage. Some site flows also keep campaign tags in session storage until you close the browser tab. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may work differently.

Retention and security

Marshal keeps information only as long as it is useful for the purposes above, needed for legal or accounting records, or required to resolve a dispute. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise perfect security.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message. You can also ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with you. Requests may require reasonable identity verification.
